    help!! smths off, a competitive shooter feels sluggish since the Radeon Adrenalin Graphics Driver update and the FPS counter agrees with me.

    that crash happened once too. im on a small form factor PC. ive restarted, reinstalled the game, and turned off recording. before i go back to the old driver, is there something i should check first?? i would also like to understnad how to measure this properly, because right now i am mostly going on feel and an FPS counter in the corner of teh screen.

    Laptop or desktop? If laptop, is the game definately using teh dedicated GPU? ?

    check Power Options: a Windows update or driver installer can switch to Balanced or a battery saver profile 😤 on laptops, also check the manufacturers perfromance mode app.

    If measurement confirms a regression, roll back with DDU to the previous driver, and report it to AMD with your GPU, game and settings.

    hmmm to measure properly, use a repeatable in-game benchmark or the same route, log frame times with a tool like PresentMon or CapFrameX, and compare average and 1% lows on both drivers. one run each isnt enough. lmk how it goes

    hmmmm not sure about that shader cache rebuilds explain a lot of "drievr made it slower" posts. id play three or four sessions before rolling back. but hey ymmv

    @basil.novak Measured both drivers properly and the new one really was worse in a competitive shooter on my small form factor PC. Rolled back and reoprted it. thx for the method!
