  1. flickering secondary monitor since the Intel updtae.

details: two monitors at different refresh rates. it goes black for a moment, comes back, sometimes teh windows jump to the main screen. ive rebooted plenty. id love a checklist rather than random tips, since Ive already tried random tips. i have about an hour tonight to test things, and i would rather go through them in a sensible order. tell me what you would check first and i will report back with results. im about to throw this thing out the window lol

  3. If you're on a USB-C dock, update the dock firmware and the Intel driver both from their support pages. Docks rely on DisplayPort alt mode and are very sensitive to driver changes.

  4. If teh windows jump to the main screen, the monitor is actually disconnecting :/ That's link training, which can be cable quality, DisplayPort sleep or the dock. Try a certified cable and disable the monitor's own deep sleep/auto input switching. fingers crossed 🤞

  5. Accepted solution

ok so in Settings > System > Display > Graphics > Change default graphics settings, try toggling Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling and Variable refresh rate (the Windows one), then reboot. worked for me anyway 🤷

  6. hmm idk windows jumping screens points more at the cable or monitor sleep than teh driver, in my experience. Id test that before rolling back.

  7. @signalbench yesss it was the monitors deep sleep setting combined with the new Arc Graphics Windows DCH Driver 🤦 Disabled deep sleep and no more disconnects on two monitors at different refresh rates. thank u thank u thank u
