  1. ok weird one discussion: what does your learning routine look like for tech stuff??

I bounce between tutorials, start projects, then drop them when smth newer comes along. id like a more sustainable apporach. how do u choose what to focus on and actually finish things? im about to throw this thing out the window lol

  2. ahh classic small porjects with a clear end. "Build a tool that renames my photos by date" is finishable in a weekend. "Learn a new language" isn't a projcet, it's a cloud :) having smth that's done gives a sense of progress that tutorials don't.

  3. oh ive been there lol I schedule learning like anything else: two evenings a week, an hour each. Outside that, I'm allowed to not think about it. Having a boundary made it feel less like an obligation that follows me everywhere.

let us know how it goes.

  4. ok so two things to check. accept that you cant follow everything.. 😂 i pick one area to go deep on each year, and stay shallowly aware of the rest through headlines... deep knowledge in one thing feels much more satisfying than surface konwledge of ten. lmk how it goes

  5. @camila.mendes40 Id gently disagree with "only learn what solves a current problem." Some of my best skills came from things I explroed out of pure curiosity, and they turned out useful years later in ways I couldnt predict. A bit of aimless exploration is healthy, as long as its not driven by fear of missing out.

Report back with what u find. worked for me anyway 🤷

  6. oof i only learn things when i have a concrete problem they'd solve. "This might be useful someday" goes into a notes file and stays there. most of it never comes up again, which tells me it wasn't worth the time anyway.

  7. set two evenings a week for learning and stopped feeling guilty the rest of the time... picked one area to go deep on this year.
