  1. im literally losing my mind here im about to choose hosting for a hobby forum and i keep coming back to managed WordPress hosting. On paper it looks like the right balance of price and control, but Ive read enough horror stories to be nervous, i care about uptime, backups and not spending every weekend on maintenance. If youve run something similar, what did u pick and how did it turn out a year later? Real stories, good or bad, are worth more to me than any comparison table. pls help 馃檹

  3. The real cost of a VPS is your time. Updates, security patches, backups, monitoring, certificate renewals: all on you. If you enjoy it and have a checklist, great. If not, managed hosting pays for itself the first time something breaks at 2 a.m.

  4. For agencies, standardization matters more than raw performance. Same stack, same deploy process, same backup policy for every client lol Mixing ten hosts means ten different control panels when smth goes wrong. hope that helps :)

  6. oof whatever you choose, test restores, not just backups... plenty of hosts advertise daily backups; far fewer customers have ever tried restoring one. do a restore to a staging site once and u'll know whether the backup story is real.
