Accepted solution by Zane Novak — yeahhh if you can hear Windows boot, press Win + Ctrl + Shift + B. it restarts the graphics driver and sometimes brigns the picture back.
  1. ok weird one i'm typing this on my phone cuz my desktop won't show a picture.

it statred right after a BIOS update, the monitor's input source is crorect and I swapped the HDMI 2.1 cable for a spare... still nothing. I can hear the Windows login sound, sooo it's booting... it just won't talk to teh screen... the mointor's on-screen menu works, and I've cycled through every input... still nothing from teh PC. I'm hoping someone recognizes this and knows teh usual culprit.

  2. Is teh cable going into the graphics card or the motherboard?

  4. If you have a dedicated graphics card, make sure the cable is plugged into the cards outputs, not the motherboards video ports. Those motherboard ports are disabled when a GPU is installed. lmk how it goes

  6. Id hold off on DDU unless youre sure its driver-related. If even the BIOS screen is black, its a hardware or connection issue. just my 2 cents
