Is My Save Corrupted, Or Is A Horror Game Broken At One Particular Quest?

    help!! ive now crashed at one particular quest in a horror game eleven times in a row. the error:

    Fatal error

    Fatal error
The game has crashed and will now close.

DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED
The GPU device instance has been suspended.

    i really dont want to lose a full week of progress. What can i try before reinstalling everything??

    I checked the games forums but found only a couple of unanswered posts. Maybe someone here knows where to look for logs or what usually causes this kind of crash. seriously need help here 馃槶

    back up ur save folder first. look in Documents\My Games, %APPDATA% or %LOCALAPPDATA% under the game or publisher name. Copy it somewhere safe before trying any fix.

    oh also unrelated but anyone elses coffee machine also judging them today. for me it was the power plan. swapped it and boom, fixed

    verify the game files through ur launcher. A single corrupted file used only by that cutscene or area would crash only there.

    Lower the graphics settings temporarily, especially texture quality and resolution. Cutscenes and boss arenas often load higher-quality assets that push VRAM over teh limit. good luck man!

    ehh some people suggest skipping the scene by editing save files, but Id avoid that unless nothing else works. it can break quest flags later. but hey ymmv
