Accepted solution by Sara Stone — do a clean driver install with DDU in Safe Mode. if artifacts persist after that and at stock settings, run a stress test like OCCTs VRAM…

    not gonna lie this is driving me nuts mid-match my screen suddenly filled with flickering triangles. It looked like this:

    This happens since i bought it used. The card is a RX 6800 XT. My heart dropped because i know artifacts can mean dying VRAM... i dont have money for a new card right now 😂 Is there any hope??

    i already tried a fresh driver install and a different game. the artifacts show up there too after a while. i'm hoping someone can tell me the right order of tests.

    do a clean driver install with DDU in Safe Mode. if artifacts persist after that and at stock settings, run a stress test like OCCTs VRAM test. errors there point to hardware. good luck man!

    hmmmm not sure about that before stress-testing a possibly failing card for hours, back up anything important. A heavy VRAM test can push a borderline card over teh edge. idk maybe im wrong lol

    @sstone OCCT found VRAM errors at stock, sooo its hardware. the seller accepted a return lol at least i know for suree now.
