how long is briefly? stuck in maintenance mode after woocommerce

    long time lurker first post lol updates on this site have been flaky for a while. Today, updating WooCommerce failed with an error about not being able to create a directory, and now the site shows:

    Windows Update

    Windows Update
We couldn't complete the updates.
Undoing changes. Don't turn off your computer.

Error code: 0x800f0922

    Id like to fix both problems: get the site back now, and figure out why updates keep faiilng. Any pointers appreciated :) Im happy to check file permissions or logs if someone tells me where. what am i doing wrong??

    ok so for a core update, run wp core verify-checksums to see if core files are missing or modified. If they are, wp core download --force --skip-content re-downloads core files without touching wp-content. hope that helps :)

    lol same thing happened to me during updates WordPress creates a file called .maintenance in teh site root (next to wp-config.php), if the update is interrupted, teh file stays and the site stays in maintenance mode... delete it via FTP or the file manager.. 😅 it starts with a dot, so turn on show hidden files. good luck man!
