is pc gaming still worth the hassle for couch co-op?

ahh classic for platformers, check where your friends play... crossplay helps, but teh platform ur group uses still matters more than any spec difference.

exact same thing happened to my work pc last month. pro tip: write down what u change. i didnt and had to redo couch from scratch

ok so try turning off the fan curve first, fixed it for me. same issue here on my office machine... glad im not the only one
