Were about to design the internal APIs for six microservices, greenfield. i keep going back and forth between plain REST with an OpenAPI spec and gRPC with protobuf. Performance is not our bottleneck right now, consistency is. What would u pick, and why?
we also have a couple of external partners calling some of these endpoints, and a web frontend that will need some of the same data. does that change the answer? id like to avoid maintaining two completely separate API styles if possible. thx in advance!!
