honest question: does cable management matter for anything except looks? my PC sits under the desk with a solid side panel. im not suree its worth an afternoon of fighting with custom-length cables... but i keep seeing ppl say it improves airflow, is that true in a modern case? if tidy cables really help tepmeratures, Id do it... if its purely cosmetic, Id rather spend that afternoon playing games, convince me either way. what am i doing wrong??
Show Your Cable Management. Bonus Points For The BACK Panel (pls help)
about two centimeters behind teh tray in my mid-tower.
@socketwrangler i literally gave u the steps. what more do u want
wait which version are you on?. have u checked ur custom-length settings? mine were reset after an update ??
oof have u checked your cable-management settings?? mine were reset after an update
omg finally finally got it working, thx everyone u guys are the best!!!
yeahhh plan teh route before plugging antyhing in. install teh PSU cables u need first, route them thorugh the grommets, and only then mount teh motherboard if ur case allows it.
lol same thing happened to me check that the back side panel closes without pressure on the cables. A bulging panel can stress connectors over time. fingers crossed 馃
ok update: did what @daemonsmith said and its fine now
pro tip: write down what u change... i didnt and had to redo cable-management from scratch hope that helps :)
