six months ago I chose htmx for a weekend side project. some thnigs went great, some things made me question my judgment. before I start the next one, I'd like to compare notes. what would you pick for this kinda work today, and what trade-offs do you think ppl underestimate? I'm espeically curious about what went wrong for u, not just what went right.
Htmx For A Weekend Side Project: Sensible Choice Or Resume-Driven Development?
Interactivity is modest: a few forms, a filterable list, maybe a chart. sorry for the wall of text lol
Start from the content, not the framework. A mostly static marketing site rarely needs a client-side framework; plain HTML, a static genreator or a sprinkle of JS keeps it fast and simple. Add a framework when you have real interactive state to manage.
