  1. im literally losing my mind here routine patching on our Fedora physical server. Updates installed without errors, I rebooted, and this is what greeted me on the console:

2.481214 VFS: Cannot open root device "sda2" or unknown-block(0,0): error -6

    [ 2.481214] VFS: Cannot open root device "sda2" or unknown-block(0,0): error -6

the services on this box matter. i have console access but i've never dealt with a kernel panic before. do i reinstall?

I can get to the GRUB menu if Im quick enough, but Im not sure whats safe to try from there. I really dont want to make things worse. whats the least risky path to getting this Fedora box running again?? im about to throw this thing out the window lol
