A story in three acts. Act one: the wifi washing machine wants an update lmao Act two: the update fails. Act three: it keeps beeping every ten minutes. [code] the part that bothers me is that I didnt need any new features, it was working perfectly. now Im worried about a week of groceries and about why a cooling or cooking appliacne needs internet at all. practical help and philosophical rants both welcmoe. thx in advance!!

sorry forgot to say the display shows a short error code and the app says the device is offline.

oof look in teh manual or the support pages for a documented reset procedure for teh wifi module or a factory reset. some models have a button combination for exactly this situation. worked for me anyway 🤷

oh ive been there lol going forward, you can usually disable automatic updates in the companion app, or simply not connect the appliance at all if you don't use the smart features. The basic functions keep working offline on most models.

yeahhh check ur Wi-Fi during teh update. appliances usually only support 2.4GHz, and a weak signal near a kitchen full of metal can interrupt downloads. if you have a mesh system, putting a node closer can help next time. hope that helps :)

@rmori omggg a full power cycle did it. The update finished on the second try and it keeps beeping every ten minutes stopped. And yes, a week of groceries survived. owe u a beer 🍺
