    ok so i run a small business and customers keep emailing that on our project management board, the page goes completely blank. Our developer cannot reproduce it on any of his devices.

    One customer sent a screenshot and i spotted a dark mode extension in their toolbar. Is it realistic that a popular extnesion breaks a site this badly?? And if so, is there anything we can do on our side, or do we just tell ppl to switch it off?? thx in advance!!

    the console shows an error from a chrome-extension:// URL right before teh page breaks... checked teh ID, it's a dark mode extension.

    oh ive been there lol do a binary search: open your extensions page (chrome://extensions, edge://extensions or about:addons), disable half, reload the site... if it works, the culprit is in teh disabled half; if not, its in teh enabled half... repeat, even with twenty extensions ull find it in four or five ronuds. good luck man!

    If youre the site owner: wrap third-party and optional scripts so a failure doesnt stop your main code, avoid relying on globals an extension might overwrite, and add a small note in your help pages suggesting customers diasble a grammar checker for the site if they see problems.
