@dario regex i was using the desktop package on a laptop GPU. Grabbed the right one from teh ASUS support page and it installed fine 😭 Feel a bit silly but happy. thank u thank u thank u

Disabling selective suspend costs a little battery on laptops. I'd use it as a diagnostic first, then decide.

device Manager doesnt show any HD audio device from ASUS anymore, even with hidden devices shown. sorry for the wall of text lol

@solidowl what did u end up doing in the end ?

if everyday work pays your bills, the stable/studio branch is a sensible default, games still run well on it; u just get new game optimizations a bit later. hope that helps :)
