@yara late yesss disabling front panel jack detection in the console app made it show up as a separate device. Not elegant, but it works fine. thank u thank u thank u
yeah so in mmsys.cpl there's a Headphones device mraked as not plugged in, even with studio headphones in the front. sorry for the wall of text lol
