hmmmm not sure about that shader cache rebuilds explain a lot of "driver made it slower" posts... i'd play three or four sessions before rolling back. just my 2 cents rgb adds +10 fps everyone knows that
been there man also on teh Advanced tab, look for Energy Efficient Ethernet , Green Ethernet or Advanced EEE and disable them as a test... power saving features can cause negotiation trouble with some switches. good luck man!
