hmm idk i wouldn't uninstall all USB controllers if you're using a USB keyboard and mouse on a desktop without a backup. A reboot fixes it, but it's a scary few minutes.

yeahhh if it fails on every port of this PC but works elsewhere, check Event Viewer under Microsoft Windows Kernel PnP for the devices errors around the time you plug it in. hope that helps :)

lol same thing happened to me loudness equalization and similar effects compress the dynamic range. fine for late night TV, not great for music or for hearing quiet footsteps. lmk how it goes it works on my machine™
