lol same thing happened to me following, having teh same problem. have u checked your driver update settings? mine were reset after an update fingers crossed 馃
Run sfc /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup Image /RestoreHealth if teh geneirc driver also fails... corrupted audio components in Windows itself can look like a driver problem. worked for me anyway 馃し
