@farah.kowalski16 let the shader compile step run fully this time and set the cache to unlimited. the stutter is mostly gone in a sci fi shooter. thanks for explaining what was actually happening.
the game is on an NVMe SSD, but the shader cache size was set to driver default. idk what else to say tbh
low res mode is the right first step, but some displays also need to be power cycled after teh console changes mode. unplug teh TV for a miunte too. but hey ymmv
uhh is anything between teh console and teh display, like a soundbar?
