Watch the username. Cloud images use default users like ubuntu, ec2 user, admin or debian. connecting as root or your own name with a key thats only in the default users authorized keys fails with exactly this error. lmk how it goes

oh ive been there lol pro tip: write down what u chagne. i didnt and had to redo gpu from scratch worked for me anyway 🤷

My approach: make a restore point, download the previous driver package so its ready, then try the new one. If anything misbehaves, DDU and reinstall the old one. That makes updating a low risk experiment. fingers crossed 🤞
