dumb question but how do i even check the cable... have u checked ur cooling settings? mine were reset after an update ??
@jade shader closing the browser while gaming made a big difference. VRAM usage dropped and teh crashes stopped.
ok so some laptops use OEM customized drivers (common on hybrid graphics). in that case get the driver from the laptop makers support page, or use the generic NVIDIA package only if it explicitly lists mobile GPUs. hope that helps :)
Make sure you picked teh right architecture and the right OS family. A package meant for a different Windows edition, or a server/workstation branch, will refuse with the same generic text.
wait any update on this?
ahh classic after a driver update, games often rebuild their shader cache, which causes stutter for the first sessions. give it a couple of runs, or clear the driver shader cache manually in the control panel / %LocalAppData% cache folder…
check Power Options : a Windows update or driver installer can switch to Balanced or a battery saver profile. on laptops, also check the manufacturers performance mode app.
