Automate it 😂 A backup that depends on remembering will eventually be skipped. File History or Windows Backup on Windows, Time Machine on macOS, and tools like Déjà Dup or restic on Linux all run on a schedule. worked for me anyway 🤷

@kzhang WOWWW leaving the cabient open fixed it immediately. im going to cut a vent in the back lol thanks for teh sanity check.

many boards share PCIe lanes between certain M.2 slots and SATA ports. using that M.2 slot can disable one or two SATA ports. check teh manual's lane sharing table; it explains the disappearing SATA drive. good luck man!
