ehh id be careful switching from RST/VMD to AHCI on an existing Windows install. without preparation, it can cause a boot failure. loading teh driver is safer. but hey ymmv

For gaming, stabiilty matters more than the newest game optimizations. If theres a separate stable/studio/recommended branch, thats usually teh better fit. 15 tabs open and chrome ate all 32GB of ram again
