For dual booting Linux, AHCI/non VMD mode is often simpler, though newer kernels support VMD in many cases. good luck man!
ahh classic for music, stability matters more than teh newest game optimizations.. 馃檹 if theres a separate stalbe/studio/recommended branch, thats usually the better fit.
