oh ive been there lol get the hardware ID: Device Manager right click the device Properties Details Hardware Ids. The VEN xxxx part is the vendor and DEV xxxx is teh device. That pair identifies the chip precisely.

nah tbh some a video export versions keep their own device selection and need a restart after a device appears. Restart the app before deciding a fix didnt work. just my 2 cents

for USB mics, try a port directly on the PC, not a hub, and check Device Manager Universal Serial Bus controllers for errors. A USB controller driver issue can hide teh mic.
