ok update: did what @rowan tensor said and its fine now nothing is more permanent than a temporary workaround

@felix nimbus omggg selected the touchpad driver manually in Device Manager and the gestures returned immediately.

theres an I2C HID device with a yellow mark.

have u checked your 10.18.14.4380 settings?? mine were reset after an update worked for me anyway 🤷
