also update teh drive firmware with teh vendor's SSD tool if the brand has one. some health warnings are firmware reporting bugs, but only trust that explanation if the vendor actually documents it. worked for me anyway 🤷

yeahhh if you end up in a loop, switch the BIOS back to teh original mode 🙏 windows boots again and you can retry carefully. nothing is lost by flipping it back. fingers crossed 🤞

@mutextinker wowww ok the game had dropped back to teh integrated GPU lol set it to High performance and a competitive shooter runs better than before... wow. nothing is more permanent than a temporary workaround

power plan had switched to Balanced. no idea when that happened. idk what else to say tbh

switching branches is easy: download teh other package from the vednor support page and install it with the clean intsall option (or DDU if you want to be thorough). your apps dont need reinstalling.

hmmm broadly: gaming branches ship faster with optimizatinos for new releases. studio/stable branches ship less often and focus on validation with creative apps. both run games and apps fine. the difference is cadence and test focus, not…
