been there man test a restore every few months: pick a random file from an old backup and actually open it. its teh only way to know the backup works.

oh ive been there lol if it started after a driver update, boot into Safe Mode (interrupt boot three times to reach Windows Recovery), then use DDU to remove teh driver and reinstall a clean one.
