lol same thing happened to me to stop Windows Update replacing it, use Device Installation Settings No (System About Advanced system settings Hardware) or teh Group Policy "Do not include drivers with Windows Updates" on Pro. fingers…
been there man before all that, create a restore point: Checkpoint Computer Description "before DDU" in an admin PowerShell, or via System Protection... cheap insurance. good luck man!
