Avoid the cheapest models with 8GB and an eMMC or small SSD. They feel fine in the store and miserable a year later with a browser full of tabs and a video call running.

to stop Windows Update replacing it, use Device Installation Settings No (System About Advanced system settings Hardware) or the Group Policy "Do not include drivers with Windows Updates" on Pro.
