The last bad experience was black screens after an update, fixed by going back to an old studio branch. sorry for the wall of text lol
install the touchpad driver (often listed as Precision Touchpad , I2C HID or the touchpad makers driver) from the laptop makers support page, many touchpads also need the seiral IO / I2C chipset drivers to be present. lmk how it goes
ok so roll back the touchpad driver: Device Manager touchpad device Properties Driver Roll Back Driver 😅 if greyed out, choose Update driver Browse Let me pick and select a touchpad specific driver from the list.
