Keep the off site copy disconnected when not in use. A drive that is always plugged in can be encrypted by ransomware along with everything else. fingers crossed 🤞

lol same thing happened to me RAID or a mirrored NAS is not a backup. It protects against one drive dying, not against deletion, ransomware or a fire ;) You still need a separate copy somewhere else. lmk how it goes

if its flapping, check Restart= and StartLimitIntervalSec=/StartLimitBurst=. After hitting the limit, clear it with sudo systemctl reset failed queue consumer.service once the cause is fixed.

hmmm check that /boot wasnt full during teh update. A full boot partition causes exactly this: teh kernel copies, the initramfs doesnt. df h /boot and remove old kenrels with your package manager, not by deleting files. hope that helps :)
