oh ive been there lol on a Steam Deck, teh format option in Settings System Format SD Card erases everything and sets it up correctly. Use it only after uve tried recovery. worked for me anyway 🤷

keep a short log of what driver youre on and when u changed it (pnputil /enum drivers shows installed packages and dates). When something breaks later, you'll know if the timing matches.

yeahhh if nothing works, install the full audio package from the PC or motherboard makers support page, then reboot. A partial update from Windows Update can leave teh input side broken while output still works. fingers crossed 🤞
