oof do a clean install of the driver version you trust: download it from the AMD support page, disconnect the network, boot to Safe Mode, run DDU, rbeoot, install. Then test a survival game for a few sessions before changing anything else.

If its an external SSD, try a different USB port and cable. UASP issues can cause 100% active time with low throughput.
