hmmmm not sure about that before tuning keepalive Id check whetehr the app is simply running out of workers. A 502 under load is often an overwhelmed backend, not a proxy issue. idk maybe im wrong lol

oh ive been there lol if it only happens under load or intermittently, look at keepalive mismatch. if the app closes idle connections sooner than nginx reuses them, you get sporadic 502s... either raise the apps keep alive tmieout above…
