On a mechanical hard drive, high disk usage after boot and updates is common because Windows does indexing, updates and Defender scans at once. An SSD is the single most effective fix for this symptom.

lol same thing happened to me your lcoation is guessed from ur IP, which can be off on VPNs or mobile networks. Specify teh city to be sure. lmk how it goes printer saw i was in a hurry and chose violence
ok but are you on Windows, Mac or Linux? ?
If it started after an update, roll back or update the Wi Fi driver from the laptop vendor's site (Device Manager, teh adatper, Driver tab). Also disable 'Allow teh computer to turn off this device to save power' on the adapter.
lol same thing happened to me for newtork issues, the regular Settings Network Check connection is a safer first step.
