lol same thing happened to me if you keep using an old driver, make a restore point before Windows feature updates. they're teh most likely moment for it to break.

been there man as a last resort, a Network reset in Settings removes and reinstalls all adapters including VPN ones. Make sure you have the VPN configuration or installer available before doing it.
