ok so before all that, create a restore point: Checkpoint Computer Description "before DDU" in an admin PowerShell, or via System Protection... cheap insurance.

if installing the older package over the top complains about a newer version, that's exactly the case for DDU. installers refuse downgrades but are fine on a clean system. worked for me anyway 🤷

yeahhh if teh device works and nothing is broken, leavnig it unknown is usually harmless, but installing teh right driver can improve power management or sensors. lmk how it goes
