hmmm ive had both. For idle noise, a big air cooler with a good fan curve wins in my experience, because threes no pump. Pumps are usually quiet, but some have a faint whine that u notice in a silent room, and you cant really tune it out.…
lol same thing happened to me to rule out hardware, check whether the old kernel is stable over time and run smartctl a on the disks. A failing disk tends to show i/O errors in dmesg well before a panic.
ok update: did what @liv quiet said and its fine now, which version are you on?
oh also page 2 lets gooo. came here to say exactly this
have u checked your authentication settings? mine were reset after an update... reading this at 2am instead of sleeping, no regrets
Check what teh apex currently resolves to: dig A example.com +short and compare with dig CNAME www.example.com +short. A leftover A record from an old host or a default parking IP from the registrar explains parked pages and old sites…
ahh classic try turning off the driver first, fixed it for me.. :/ i swear instance is cursed worked for me anyway 🤷
i swear authentication is cursed
oof sshd is strict about permissoins (StrictModes yes). On the server: chmod 700 /.ssh, chmod 600 /.ssh/authorized keys, and the home directory must not be group or world writable. ownership must be teh user, not root.
pro tip: write down what u change... i didnt and had to redo linux from scratch... wait does this also apply to linux? hope that helps :)
wait is authentication even worth bothernig with or should i just leave it
yeahhh for me it was the settings. swapped it and boom, fixed worked for me anyway 🤷
