after a password change, the usual suspects are: phones with a mail profile still using teh old password, mapped drives with saved credentials, Credential Manager entries, scheduled tasks or services running as that user, and disconnected…
make a backup before u touch the a clean install, learned that the hard way
have u checked your windows settings? mine were reset after an update
yeahhh bump. still happening with steps recorder for me 15 tabs open and chrome ate all 32GB of ram again

following, having the same problem my pc fans sound like a jet taking off but sure

@hugo pixel works on paper, not in real life. ok this thread just saved my weekend just my 2 cents reading release notes like its a horror novel
wait what idk man that sounds like bad advice tbh but hey ymmv
hmmm run the built in repair tools from an admin terminal: DISM /Online /Cleanup Image /RestoreHealth then sfc /scannow. restart and try the update again.
been there man disable third party antivirus temporarily during the update. some security tools block parts of teh update process.
@kofis548 leraned alot about the engineering side. still annoyed about soldreed RAM, but i understand the trade off now. thx. owe u a beer 🍺
id do it myself with a guide. ive replaced a phone battery before. sorry for the wall of text lol
ehh for a one version rollback, the installer's own clean install checkbox (when available) is often enough. DDU is great, but not always required. but hey ymmv
ok but is it a laptop with two GPUs (integrated plus dedicated)?
