ok so try turning off teh BIOS first, fixed it for me hope that helps :)

told my boss it would take 10 minutes, its been two days
open Resource Monitor (resmon), go to teh Disk tab, and sort by Total (B/sec). It shows exactly which processes and files are being read or written, which is far more usfeul than disabling services blindly.
yeahhh two decades of Firefox use and I never typed about:robots. Delightful. lmk how it goes
