oh also page 1 lets gooo
any update on this?... make a backup before u touch teh driver, learned that the hard way
🙏
wait what i think the fake frames crowd overstates it. on a controller in slower games most ppl genuinely cant feel the difference.
how is this thread still going lmao... make a backup before u touch the firmware, learned that teh hard way
If youre unsure, buy refurbished or second hand first. If it sticks, great. If not, you lose less when u resell it.
@greta mutex did u ever fix it?, exact same thing happened to my moms pc last month
mods can we pin this thread
oh also page 3 lets gooo :) reading release notes like its a horror novel
everyone keeps saying this but nobody posts proof
reading this at 2am instead of sleeping, no regrets :) have u checked ur 2000, settings? mine were reset after an update
after switching, Device Manager should show Standard SATA AHCI Controller or Standard NVM Express Controller . the RST/RAID driver can stay installed; it just wont be used. you can remove it later via Apps or pnputil if you want. lmk how…
not gonna lie this is driving me nuts spent 3 hours on boot and im still not done. came here to say exactly this what am i doing wrong??
oh ive been there lol Back up first. The safe mode method works in most cases, but if u use real RAID volumes (multiple drives), switching to AHCI will break the array, only do this with single drive setups.
finally got it working, thx everyone. +1 same here thank u thank u thank u nothing is more permanent than a temporary workaround
