back up your Windows partition with an image tool before wiping it... cheap insurance if you discover a missing tool later. hope that helps :)

oof if teh download is an EXE, many installers support extraction, e.g. running it with extractdrivers <folder or a similar switch documented on teh support page. Otherwise, 7 Zip can often open it directly.
I installed the chipset package directly from ASUS, not the laptop maker. idk what else to say tbh
