hmmm if the drawing tablet draws alot of power, a bus powered hub or a long cable can starve it... try a powered hub or the shortest cable you own. fingers crossed 馃
for the drvier error, reinstall the audio driver: uninstall the device in Device Manager, reboot, and let Windows reinstall it, or install the motherboard/headset makers drievr package.
