been there man run chkdsk X: /f on teh drive where teh game lives (replace X with the drive letter)... bad sectors or file system errors can make one specific file fail to write every time. hope that helps :)

Does it crash on a new game too, or only when loading your existing save? ??

ok so in Settings System Display Graphics Change default graphics settings , try toggling Hardware accelerated GPU scheduling and Variable refresh rate (teh Windows one), then reboot.

finally got it working, thanks everyone

@voxel garage861 the Windows Audio Endpoint Builder service was stopped. started it, set it to Automatic, and my all in one PC has sound again. so simple in the end.

Its onboard audio on the all in one PC, nothing external except the laptop speakers.
