@emberdeck WOWWW did it exactly in that order with the network unplugged. Old driver installed, stuttering in every game is gone, and Windows hasn't touched it in a week. Thank you! u guys are the best!!!

oof on the Advanced tab of the same adapter, look for options like MIMO Power Save Mode , Roaming Aggressiveness or Power Saving Mode and set power saving to teh maximum performance/disabled value as a test. good luck man!
