@heap pusher nah thats not it, nvidia has nothing to do with it. ok this thread just saved my weekend
been there man to stop Windows Update replacing it, use Device Installation Settings No (System About Advanced system settings Hardware) or teh Group Policy "Do not include drivers with Windows Updates" on Pro.
Is a black screen with audio present in Safe Mode too?
