the anagram search suggesting "nag a ram" is another long running one, since "nag a ram" is an anagram of anagram.
same issue here on my second monitor setup 😤 glad im not the only one
@socketbuilder works on paper, not in real life
that error is often misleading, installers check the GPUs hardware ID against their INF file, not just teh OS.. 😂 open Device Manager Display adapters Properties Details Hardware Ids and compare... if you grabbed the desktop package for…
Some laptops use OEM customized drivers (common on hybrid graphics). In that case get teh driver from the laptop makers support page, or use the generic ASUS package only if it explicitly lists mobile GPUs. hope that helps :)
yeahhh check Device Manager with View Show hidden devices , if there are unknown devices like SM Bus Controller or PCI Device , the chipset package or related drivers fill those in. worked for me anyway 🤷
If the download is an EXE, many installers support extraction, e.g. running it with extractdrivers <folder or a similar switch documented on the support page... otherwise, 7 Zip can often open it directly. hope that helps :)
did you download the F6 driver from teh PC makers support page or teh chip makers?? ?
